Just a note to say thank you and all the staff on duty at Solberge Hall over the weekend of our wedding on the 13th October 2012. We had an amazing day the sun was shining and everything was perfect. Our guests commented on what a lovely meal the wedding breakfast was – the lamb shank went down especially well! The DJ was brilliant the children at the night do, letting them help out on the decks- he had more patience than I would ever have. The only thing I am sorry is that the weekend went so quickly. Hello Tracy, I want to apologise for replying so late to your message. Firstly, personally thank you to you for all your help and support. It will be sad to leave the place behind, in the preparations for the wedding it felt like it became a second home for us. We just wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone at Solberge Hall Hotel. The whole experience was amazing, a real fairytale of a day. Our wedding from arrival and civil ceremony to photographs, canapés, reception, evening 'do', disco and beyond ran so professionally and smoothly that it was a real pleasure from start to finish.
The package we took included everything in one price from table decorations, cake and wedding disco to the bridal suite for the night. We were able to make a lot of the decisions through one person, in one location. It took away a lot of the pressure of the wedding preparations and meant we had time to focus on the important things, like choosing the bridal party outfits (and suits) and making sure the vows and music were really what we wanted not just an afterthought. The venue was amazing, a perfect setting for what turned out to be a beautiful, glorious September day. Everyone felt relaxed milling around eating their canapés in the sunshine outside in the courtyard seating area. The pictures the photographers took are fantastic and that is in a big part due to the grounds around Solberge Hall Hotel, and the countryside backdrop that it is set in. The food was fantastic, from the canapés to the three course meal, with coffee and mints to follow. Everyone said how lovely it was. Cutting the cake and giving it out with the evening buffet was a great idea, people could actually enjoy it instead of trying to eat it after a fulfilling meal. The staff were great, friendly and accommodating.
The DJ was great, played all the music we asked for in a great mix that meant many people got up dancing who usually wouldn't have wanted to. Waking up in the bridal suite was a great way to start to start married life, such a treat and what idyllic views to look out onto. The English breakfast really set us up for the rest of the day. We found out after the day that there had been a few slip ups during the day, we forget a CD for part of the ceremony for example, but none of this was noticed because of the smooth behind the scenes working.
Would we recommend having a wedding at Solberge Hall Hotel? Definitely! We'd do it all again.. if we weren't already married. Many thanks again. The newly made...

We had our wedding reception at Solberge Hall in August 2011 and we couldn’t have wished for a better wedding and level of service.
We had attended a friend’s wedding at the hotel the year before we got married and had been so impressed by it that when we got engaged we immediately decided to hold our reception at Solberge Hall.
Throughout our planning process Tracy Elliott was absolutely fantastic; she kept in close contact with us and always responded to us very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she accommodated our every request. Tracy was highly organised and remembered every little detail, we really felt that she was passionate about wedding planning and wanted our day to be very special.
We were also very impressed by Mark the chef. He wanted to meet us both and discussed our menu choices with us in detail. We were invited for a taster (which is free for the bride and groom) where Mark sat with us before the meal and again went through our choices, both making his own suggestions and considering ours. After the meal he sat with us to discuss our opinions of the different dishes. We talked at length, not only about the wedding breakfast but also about the evening food, for which we wanted food that was not on their menu but he happily agreed to.
We were struck by how accommodating the staff were as they allowed us a lot of freedom to run our day as we wanted, always advising us on the pros and cons of doing so.
On the day of the wedding we truly felt we were in safe hands with Martin; he was excellent at being in charge and we were reassured by his presence. He dealt with situations swiftly and professionally and a number of guests commented on this.
We had an amazing wedding day; everything was perfect – the food, the staff, the location, the accommodation – we couldn’t rate it any higher.
A huge thank you to all the staff at Solberge Hall but particularly Mark, Martin and of course Tracy, without whom our wedding would not have been so wonderful.Sara and Jonny Mutton

We would like to thank you for your incredible hospitality on Friday evening. The warm reception we received on arrival and being shown to the Talbot Room. This room is very stylish and a great improvement on the previous bar. The display in the centre was stunning and the food was first class. The lounge is a great space for groups and also for individuals to enjoy an informal meal.
We were kindly shown room two by Judith. The room is lovely and has been tastefully decorated.
The entertainment was a brilliant idea and I would like to thank the lady on the Black Jack table who was so patient in explaining the rules! The staff were professional and courteous and an asset to Solberge Hall.
